Why Cats Are Part of WLMOUSE?

If you have seen a WLMOUSE product, you may have noticed cat elements in our mouse designs, dongles, and artwork.

They are not simply decorative. Our connection with cats began nearly 20 years ago, long before WLMOUSE became the brand it is today.

The Cats That Grew with Our Factory

When we first established our factory, we began taking in stray cats from the surrounding area.

Some stayed and made the factory their home. They lived alongside our team and helped keep rodents away from production and storage areas. As the factory grew, the cats remained quietly becoming part of everyday life.

They were there as new equipment arrived, products changed, and the business developed. In their own way, they helped protect the place where WLMOUSE would eventually begin.

This is why the cat was never chosen through a branding exercise. It was already part of our story.

What the Cat Represents

In Chinese culture, cats are often associated with intuition, agility, and good fortune. Those qualities also feel closely connected to gaming.

A cat observes before it moves. It reacts quickly, controls its body precisely, and stays aware of small changes in its surroundings. These are also qualities that matter to competitive players.

The Black Cat and WL Girl

The cat also has an important role in the story of Wanling Girl, our original IP character.

Her black cat is her closest companion and the guide that leads her toward awakening. It represents instinct, trust, and protection. With its guidance, Wanling Girl discovers her role as a guardian of life within the digital world.

This story gives the cat another place within WLMOUSE, not only as a link to our past, but also as part of the creative world we continue to build.

From Our Story to Our Products

Cat elements appear throughout WLMOUSE products in different ways.

Sometimes they are easy to recognize, such as a cat-inspired graphic on a mouse shell. Sometimes they appear as a smaller detail on a dongle, accessory, or special-edition design.
